I stayed at the Soreda Hotel after my original booking at the Santana Hotel had to be changed due to delays with renovation work. Loveholidays moved my booking to the Soreda. It isn’t a hotel I would have chosen myself, but I accepted it because its location was much better than the alternative I was initially offered. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel. My room was comfortable and I was happy with it. I had originally booked a balcony room at the Santana, and although the Soreda did provide a balcony, it was extremely small. I only sat out there once during my stay as there wasn’t really enough space to enjoy it. The rooftop pool was a nice place to relax with plenty of sunbeds available. Some are on a slightly raised level accessed by a few steps, but this wasn’t an issue for me. The indoor pool, jacuzzi and steam room in the basement were also very good and made a nice change if you wanted to get out of the sun. I only had breakfast included, but there was an excellent selection of food each morning. My only criticism was that the breakfast room was very large and could get quite noisy, with what appeared to be large tour groups dining at the same time. The bar was a pleasant place to spend the evening, with live music and dancing on some nights, and the staff were happy to put football on the TV when I asked. The pool bar also provided excellent service throughout my stay, and as a cider drinker I was pleased they had cider available. I had access to the gym, although I’m not sure whether that’s included for all guests or whether it was because I had been transferred from another hotel, so it may be worth checking before you book if that’s important to you. A couple of things to be aware of: there was a €15 charge to use the in-room safe, and a €5 refundable deposit for a pool towel, which could be exchanged whenever required. The staff throughout the hotel were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and they contributed to an enjoyable stay. Although this wasn’t the hotel I had originally booked, I left with a positive impression and would happily recommend the Soreda Hotel to anyone looking for a good base in the area.
First the good hotel clean ,room was clean good size good air con staff all pleasant.now the bad we went as a late booking for my birthday hot food is not hot cold food is not cold its all warm.ai drinks are very limited. But our main gripe is the way the hotel rents areas out to local people areas that a paying guest would expect to get use of ie Small outdoor pool 3 of the 5 days we were there it was used by noisy children for birthday parties so guests could not have use of it.rooftop bar 2 of the 5 nights again no access due to locals using it's more like a community centre should have separate function rooms would not return if I was paid to.
The hotel staff are very polite and helpful, food is of a fair standard with a verity of dishes. Yes the hotel has some areas that could be improved but is made with the ambiance of the hotel. This is the 8th year at the hotel we love it. The Payne family
